EDC - What did your knife do today???

I got told I couldn't carry a knife since I'm 17...Someguy who knew alot about knives and such at a gun shop. Not sure if he was right...

I used my Exskelibur II to carve pointy sticks for roasting marshmallows over the fire. That's some heavy-duty EDC work right there!

My boys had some friends over so I had them each whittle their own sticks. One kid who's 11 said it was the first time he had ever used a pocket knife. Pretty sad.

Opened mail, clipped my a.m. cigar and trimmed some unruly hair on a puppie's tail.

My Para opened a new Buck (342) :D

This is a sign of knife addiction. Using knives to open boxes of new knives.
You may want to seek help.

Mine broke down a cardboard box today since it wouldn't fit in a dumpster.
I get satisfaction finding uses for my knives. It's kind of like a small want
for being inconvenienced. lol.

I used my CRKT stubby razel to trim the strikeplate notches for a door install and also to cut a bunch of aluminum window screen.

My Spyderco Chicago went to work in the bulk food department with me, just like everyday since i bought it 2 weeks ago.
50lb bags of everything, 25 pound boxes of everything else. flat ground s30v is my new hero.

Used my Delica 4 FFG to open a package containing 1 Grohmann X107SD Outdoor knife.

My newest addition, a Cultellus just sliced up some paper. Tomorrow some vegetables :D I'll break her in slow and steady :D I used a BM Grip to open the box it came in and cut some carpet up with it after that.

My queen stockman D2 blades sliced up a goodly sized cardboard box today and cut a bunch of plastic ties.

I used my Benchmade 111SH2O and Camilus BSA Deluxe to make a leather sheath (within an hour and a half :o) for one of my instructor's knives. It's a cheapy, but he needed a new sheath and his request was that it be ANYTHING but the one it came with :D So with a few cuts and pokes, I made the sheath with nothing more than knives, needle & thread, and of course leather :) (forgot to add the leather punch too :o)

Pics of all of them:

I actually did a neat addition to the belt loop. Knowing that it is his duty knife, I added velcro to the inside of the loop. This will help it attach to the duty belt (as it has velcro on the inside of it too) and if he uses this for regular chores, he can use the velcro to "choke up" so that it's not loose and flopping around.

Oh, and the 111SH2O is still shaving hairs

Used the saw on my Vic Huntsman to cut some dead limbs off a shrub in my backyard. The main limb was about 10cm in diameter. Then used the main blade to cut off the smaller branches so I could bundle it all in my yard waste bin for pickup.

I was at work late at night during grave yard shift when I ran out of post it notes. There in front of me, not more than an arm's length away, sat my arch nemesis...the plastic wrapped stack of sticky post-its. I engaged my enemy with my only weapon, my DDR HTM Gunhammer 2. In a dizzying flash, or maybe just a flick on the flipper tang with my index finger, I proceeded to confront the ever blasphemous pile of flattened, bleached, wood pulp. The plastic epidermis was no match for my vorpal blade's s30v. In no time at all, I was writing post it notes. I had saved the day (or night...or morning?).

I sharpened some soap stone. And cut up the left over pork chop I had for lunch. Anybody else eat lunch at 9:30 pm?

Opened the mail and cut up fruit with my Spyderco FRN UKPK drop point model, for a snack for my 8 month old daughter.

My newest knife is the Spyderco Gayle Bradley, which got babyed mostly, but also did some whittling.

Wait till campfire season and camp prep starts, then it'll see some real work!

Today my Delica 4: opened bunch of boxes, opened also my lunch and cleaned my finger nails...

Used my Pocket Bushman to open a bag of Smartfood popcorn for my lady and trimmed my battered cuticles (cracked and painful!) with my Case swayback.
