I left this thread open on the computer. After reviewing multiple pages, my eight year old son wanted to contribute. So, without further ado, here is some of his EDC gear (generally only one knife at a time).

i recently started learning how to work on leather. so far, made 3 panerai watch straps (2 miserable failures), 3 iphone 4 cases (2 miserable failures), a macbook air sleeve, form fitting but ugly stitches, and a card case which turned out ok. could use some constructive criticism, if you've got any.

1. Mark out with a ruler. Use a coin or glass to mark out corners. Cut carefully
2. Use a stitch marking tool for even stitches. Looks like a old style cowboys spur.
3. Pre punch each stitch hole with a carpenters awl
4. Sew with a blunt needle (the holes are already there, nice and neat from the punching)
5. Glue the two pieces of leather together around the edges, when dry get a sanding block and sand the edges smooth and neat and round
