So...howabouts taking this gun debate elsewhere? This is a great long running thread no need to get it too far OT.

My EDC for the day:

Spyderco Spin! That's it. Sitting around the house in shorts, watching the World Cup!

By the way, my EDC:
casual: sak (silver soldier) or opinel, FEG PA-63 in 9x18mak.
work: Camillus Heat (PE), or Flash II(PE), or M16-14T, or Endura (stainless handles) depending on mood, Glock 22 (.40), Surefire 6z combatlight, Ka-Bar TDI (PE).

Grrr....Im going crazy deciding on different EDC setups!!!!!!!

Today it was my Vic Huntsman and Spyderco Byrd Finch on my keys.

The Huntsman is so big when it comes to pocket carry, but I really like carrying it.

EDC for today: lightweight because I'm staying at home, Old Victorinox SAK (sorry I don't know the model name: three layers, file in middle layer, plus the usual tools with screwdriver in place of corkscrew, figure of an old car on the handles), Schrade 94OT stockman, Leatherman SideClip, Orient automatic watch, Hohner Golden Melody harmonica.

Luis

What key is the Hohner?

...What key is the Hohner?
I normally use a B-flat but this one is in C, I retune the first two draw reeds (D becomes F and G becomes A) so I loose some chords but gain a more complete scale for playing melody in cross harp position or whenever I want to go below the C in the fourth hole.

Luis

Edited: Ooops, actually G becomes A, not B as I had stated....

I understand. Paul Butterfield, John Sebastian, and Bob Dylan are my favorite harp players. I play the Hohner Marine Band.

Oooops, retuning my harp... I have edited my previous post for correction:

Actually G becomes A, not B as I had stated....

Did you modify those scales?

Yeah - I just Dremmeled the hell out of them.
The aluminum was suprisingly hard. It took about 10 min pr. scale. Wasn't difficult though, just a bit time consuming.

I couldn't get used to the flimsy color, so it had to go :)
I thought about polishing them, but the rustic look was too cool :p

Cool. Good job, the brushed stainless does look cool.

My EDC is going through a period of indecision and change.

Today it was:

Reactor LED flashlight (identical to Dorcy 1 watt single AAA light)
Buck Deuce Slipjoint
keys w/Byrd Finch
Chap stick
Wallet

Hey Mr. Turnip, is that Danish Penknife a standard item? I've not seen that before! is there some reason for the opening hole to be like that? Thanks!

No it's not a standard item. It's basically a UK Pen Knife (which is simular to the up coming Caly 3, but without a lock). The blade is a little shorter (2.76"), and the hole has been gradually filled, to avoid one-hand-opening, which is illegal here in Denmark. Sal Glesser (head of Spyderco) made this knife especially for us danes. I believe only a small amount was made (approx. 500) - which truly shows that Spyderco is all about serving the people, and not just making money

The knife itself is very, very nice. It's lightweight, smooth, and feels very solid. The slipjoint lock is very secure (all considered), and I don't miss an ordinary lock.
