Sorry for that lousy picture. Here's a better one. The lock is a Sawby self lock and the knife has a thumbstud.

WOWOWOW!!! Some of you folks carry a lot of stuff......

Kinda made me think about what the heck I have on me when I leave the apt.

If I am going to work....I have an expendable Wal Mark Gerber one piece in the side pocket of my Jeep's driver door. I work with explosives ( and make them ) so I have to keep pocket stuff to a minimum. Nolighters, coins, la la la. When it's the holiday or I am off work, I carry a CRKT Wasp, my wallet and pocket change.....and my Browning High Power or my Colt 1911 ( NRM ) tucked under my flannel. Add leather and what not and that's a lot of stuff, too.
 
I got a Boker Helios leo damas on my right pocket. All I carry in terms of knives. Used to carry a small Smith and Wesson folder until I finally realized just how bad the blade really was in that I was constantly sharpening the damned thing.

How do you like it? I've seen some pictures (other than A.G. Russell's site) and it looks very, very nice.
 
I love it.....the damascening design is cool but the blade itself is tough! I think I am going to have to ditch my diamond Lansky sharpening system and get a ceramic hone. Lansky doesn't make ceramic hones for their rod systems do they?
 
Also, the helios model itself is a nice design. I like the way the handle fits into my hand and the liner lock seems to function perfectly fine...no worries there.

Overall review is that it's simply awsome! The knife has definately retarded the never-ending search for another knife (pricing also had something to do with that). If cost is not much issue, I would DEFINATELY recommend the helios damascus as a must have.
 
My EDC knives are switching between a Microtech Mini Socom Elite and a Benchmade Mini Grip (sheepsfoot style).
I also have a Micra on my keychain, and depening on the day, My Wave as well.

No expensive items in my case, just the basics...

-Victorinox SAK Sportsman

-Standard brushed metal Zippo lighter. I don't smoke, but everytime a Lady asks for alight, I have one:D That and somethimes you just need a flame.

-Gerber Paraframe clipped on my back pocket

-Hyde retractable blade utility knife in same back pocket

-And blasphemy, I know...a made in China 'Frost Cutlery' Spyderco knockoff on my keychain.

I can't see myself carrying an expensive knife...I don't want to think twice before I have to pry or scrape something, and if it breaks or I lose it, I won't have a heart attack.

I'm about to buy a Leatherman Squirt P4 on ebay for $20...that might replace the 'frost craplery' on my keychain..
