Bringing a dead thread back... what can I say, I like admiring (and coveting) other people's collections - enough to finally take a picture of mine.

Keys
Mini-Ritter Grip
Tumi Wallet/Slvr Ring (gifts from gf)
Small Sebenza in BG-42
Verizon Phone

Usually just carry one of the knives.

The SAK is a Farmer. I'm going to downsize to a Lumberjack assuming a certain trade goes through.

sixstrings01,

Thanks for the link. They're a bit out of my price range, but I still love the looks of those knives. Maybe one day..

Lucien,

What's in that small case looking thing?

Vivi,

It looks like we have the same kind of house keys. Just one word of advice, you may want to blur the numbers on that key. It's the code for the lock. All you have to do is go to the locksmith and they can make a duplicate just from the numbers. At least that's what a locksmith friend of mine told me.

Holy S Alwilliam..........I'd hate to meet you in a back alley................or the front of an alley for that matter :) . Are you certain you're safe enough :) :) :) .

Masserin Damascus Spirit, Hohner Diatonic Marine Band Harmonica, Boker 200 2 blade Canoe, small Case Damacus Burnt Stag Coke bottle, Pat Crawford Frame Lock One Hand Knife, Palm Tungsten E2.

Thanks for the advice, but that key is for something else.

What's wrong with my good ol' Gerber Paraframe? Really? I stumbled upon Bladeforums in search of expertise and help with working Kydex (I've been side tracked by the other forums and STILL don't have the kydex info but that's ok...).

I'm not a big knife guy, but I do appreciate fine craftsmanship (I do fine woodworking, and other detail work). I am seriously impressed with what I have seen here. You knife makers are just awsome.... I bow to your abilities.

Back to my question... but what's wrong with my $25 Gerber Paraframe. I carry it in my pocket all day... everyday... and I feel naked without it. Why would I need to spend a C-note or more on a pocket knife??

'Cmon... somebody sell me on the need.

timcsaw, if you're happy with it, good. Carry, use and enjoy. If you apreciate fine craftsmanship, you'll see why some folks buy expensive knives. I've seen some wild customs that are just insanely nice.

Edited to add: My pockets today included a wallet, set of keys on a belt loop, and an s30v Native. Goin' light today apparently.

Insanely nice is an understatement. Some of the things I've seen here are "perfection" (or nearly so).

If you are familiar with the Paraframe, you know what I like. It's a utility... a tool... and unfortunately I often treat it that way. That would be a problem for me if I were to purchase something of the quality I've seen here. I'd be afraid to use it (unless it was bullet proof)!

Could you, or any other forumite, direct me to the proper thread to learn more about what's out there for product? I see talk of "Spiderco", and others... I guess I'm looking (first) for something of higher quality to replace the Paraframe... though I love it, it's not the best steel... then I'd like to look at something which shows some of the fine craftsmanship I see here.

Thanks for the info!:)

Tim, i'd suggest you look into finding local knife shops or outdoor sports stores and so forth to find a knife you can get a feel for first hand, i can list a million knives that are inexpensive-ish and are high quality working knives but it's really a personal thing. Check out knives like the Spyderco Natives, Delicas or Enduras, they're light, cut like demons and aren't very costly.

There are waaaay too many threads on here full of great info. Check out some reviews, these folks test the living hell out of 'em.

Lucien,

What's in that small case looking thing?

That's my wallet.

I got sick of carrying bulky folding wallets, and don't carry much other than a few cards and the occasional bill, so this works perfect. It's thin, light and snaps securely shut.

Plus, i think it looks cool.

Tim, if you are willing to pay a good amount, I hear the Spyderco manix and mini-manix fit the description of a "bulletproof" working folder very well. But they may be out of your price range, I don't know.

Severtech, ZT Bootknife, Draco mini flashlight, Samsung 600, keyring with CR2 Ion, Atwood whistle, Perrin Knife Thingy and assorted keys, Bladeart sharkskin notepad wallet, MilTac pen.
