Exactly. It actually has once. I use my discretion on when to carry and when to not, but by carrying a gun in the past I was able to extricated myself and my sister from a situation that would have otherwise turned violent. (no shots were fired)

I really don't understand why one WOULDN'T EDC a gun, if legal to do so.:cool:

Without hijacking this thread too bad here are three good reasons:

1. Its your right as an American citizen
2. As stated , it could save your (or a loved one's life)
3. Better to have it...etc, etc.

If one person had been armed and prepared at the recent school and mall shootings things may have turned out differently (and it would give these maniacs second thoughts about shooting up a place if they knew that most of the "sheep" were armed)

OK, rant mode off...back to gadgets.
 
Since Christmas Day, it has been my new large Classic Sebenza w/snakewood inserts, a Protech Runt 2 w/o clip, a Pentagon PX1 clip light (attaches and carries like a cell phone), and a Streamlight Pro Stylus in my shirt pocket. Everything else the same as before; Samsung Blackjack and stingray skin wallet.

the only ??? I have about that setup is the fork and spoon. Don't like to use the restaurant's stuff?
 
Alias 2 haalf serrated, Ever since it was given to me it has been in my pocket almost everyday and i love it!

I could understand why you originally posted such a question.... If you were 7 years old or lived in gated community and never left your home.

Bottom line: You knew the answer to that question already. But rather than just post your opinion in a straight-forward manner, you decided to be patronizing. So why are you upset? All I did was respond the way you did. ;)

A gated community? No, just a community other than American. In fact, communities all over the world, and no where else is there such a paranoia that is expressed in the absolute need, and pride, to have the right to carry arms.
I had an idea as to why, but no one has ever given me their full calm opinion without getting defensive and heated. Charlie Fox answered my question exactly as I wanted it answered and he wasn't a patriotic condescending redneck asshole ;) in his explanation, and I appreciate that.
My opinion on the matter has changed, I used to not like that civilians carry guns in your country, now I just don't like that people like you are allowed to.

Note the winking smilie face so I can pretend I'm being friendly, if there was one blowing you a kiss I would've used that.
 
if i could have a CCW in my country i definitely would carry one. you never know who or what you might bump into. what if a gang of bikers attempts to take your wife, or worse your children. are you just going to try to cut them? who once said "in a world where having a gun is criminal, only criminals will have guns." or something to that effect.
 
i honestly think all handguns should be banned....and know i will be flamed for saying so......but isn't the saying also...."handguns are made for killing, they ain't no good for nothing else"......now a rifle could be a different story

Yes, but a normal everyday citizen that owns a CCW uses it on the defense to stop those on the offense.

Seriously guys, stop hijacking the hell out of this thread! This is turning into whine and cheese.:eek:

I don't mind the restaurant stuff. It's just that I pack a lunch to work every day. I hate not having the proper tools when I need them.
