EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

Recently went to Elizabeth NJ's Liberty Science Center with the family and security at the door wanted to take the c304. I told them it was a multi-tool and not strictly speaking a knife. They didn't buy-in but they agreed that instead of confiscating it or forcing me to return it to the car, they would put it aside and hold it for me while I got the family set up.

By the time I got everyone set up and got back there was a new security guy there who didn't know what had been agreed and he had taken the c304 from it's place and thrown it in the confiscated bin. After a little persuasion and some help from a female security attendant who had been there earlier I got it back.

Just a tiny glimpse into life in Jersey.

And I thought California was bad............

This type of thing really bothers me. I confiscate knives and weapons every single night as an L.E.O. , but you have to understand that it's usually from really bad people who don't care about the lives of others. Taking items such as yours is just the wrong path that we are following. Please, lets not go down that English road people.

I have lots of pointy things :) In my jacket I almost all the time have the following:
Fallkniven U2, LM Fuse, Fenix P3D Q5, Silva lighter, Whistle, Qtek 9100, USB stick, wallet (with MRE matches). In my backpack I have a Fallkniven WM1 and a SAK.

The local police (I know all of them personally) knows that I carry all these things but since I am a decent guy I am allowed. Over here police usually dont "confiscate" knives just because they can, it all depends on who you are and where you are and what you carry. There are no permits and crap in Sweden but you are not allowed to bring edge tools to bars and schools etc. (unless as work tools). It is always less strict on the "countryside" than in the big city.

All these new pathetic knife laws are totally insane. It is only law abiding people that are affected. How many crimes have been stopped because a person can not bring a multitool or SAK on an airplane or in a subway. Unfortunately people like to carry around combat death rambo swat swish swosh knives just to look cool :(
Hey, both my U2 and the Fuse are verboten in UK and in Denmark.

Not this again, please. You won't help anyone, especially yourself, by pointing fingers at people who are not like you. You do your thing and others do theirs. Don't blame people who enjoy life the way they like it for the ignorance and incompetence of some politicians/governments/voters.

Keys, change, squished penny w/the Lord's Prayer on it, small folding pliers w/screwdrivers on each handle, "Sebertool" (834-UH OFCOURSE !!!), can of "Red Seal", phone, pack of cigs, pen, notebook, checkbook, wallet, THAT'S IT. Oh by the way if you were wondering, I wear overalls, l.o.l.
