EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

I've been rotating a Spydie Centofante 3 through the EDC. It's a great knife that may just permanently replace my Leek:thumbup:

Here's what I was in the mood to carry today. I thought I'd go custom. Not the greatest picture but I think you can get the idea. It's a Scott Cook Lochsa, pearl pivot with 14kt gold thumbstud (left handed of course) and T Davison #233. Elderbox burl.:thumbup:

I've posted so many changes that I'm not sure if I have posted this or not! Anyway, I now am sporting a Strider AR Digicam Ghost. At first I was unsurre of the finish, but after gettting it I really like it's unique look. Also modded it for deep pocket carry. Also have given my Case Barlow a rest with a Case Gunstock. My edc flashlight is a Fenix P1D Premium Q5 with a twist on and off. I carry it in the tiny little holster it came with as the length of this light is only about 3/4's" longer than my belt, let it puts out 180 lumens in turbo mode! Bring it on.............................I'm ready!

flashlight speak for very high beam. very bright, usually with about 20 to 45 minutes run time, depending upon battery type...

oh, and btw, a new Kershaw SG2 Blur for me...

This is my current EDC -

Along w/ my keys & wallet. When warm weather gets here I change guns to my Glock 19 ( smaller & easier to conceal w/ less on )

It has 5 settings; 180 lumens, 96 lumens, 16 lumens, strobe, and SOS mode. The whole light is only 2.8" in length, but it puts out an amazing amount of light when on the 180 setting. Here is the full info on it;

Introducting the Exclusive Limited Run of Cree Q5 P1D-CE (BLACK)

Fenix Store made a special run of P1D CE's with rare binned and high output Cree LED's. These are Q5 bins which are rated 107-114 lumens at 350ma (versus 81-87 lumens for the P4's). Thats up to a 33% increase in output! The runtime should be same as the non Q5's, but you're getting more light at the same power consumption!

These have a special prototype MOP (medium orange peel) texture reflector to smooth out the beam.

Also, they have a special engraving to indicate it's special and limited production status:
Premium Q5

These are not regularly stocked items. These are only available while supplies last.

Introduction of Fenix™ P1D CE Flashlight (BLACK)
The Fenix P1D CE (Cree Edition) is a digitally controlled constant current multilevel flashlight Fenix has to offer. It has five modes: Primary -> Max -> Low -> Strobe Mode -> SOS Mode, which not only allows the user to select the best compromise between brightness and runtime for any given task but also has ability to aid in an emergency.
The P1D CE does all this and still retains a very compact size. If you’re looking for solid reliability, digitally regulated brightness, and compact size, this Fenix is for you.

Features
• Utilizes a Cree 7090 XR-E LED with a life of 50,000 hours
• 5 Output Levels: 96 lumens (2.8hrs) -> 180 lumens (1hrs) -> 16 lumens (21hrs) -> Strobe -> SOS
• Digitally Regulated for Constant Brightness
• Uses one CR123A battery (INCLUDED)
• 7.1cm (L) x 2.1cm (D) ( or 2.8 in (L) x 0.8 in (D)
• Made of aircraft grade aluminum
• Durable Type III hard anodized (BLACK) finish
• 27-gram (or 1.0 oz) weight (excluding batteries)
• Water-resistant (dunkable)
• Toughened ultra clear glass lens with AR coating
• Reliable twist switch
• Capable of standing up securely on a flat surface to serve as a candle
• Battery included
• Includes a holster, a lobster claw, and a spare o-ring

Operation
Turn the head of the flashlight clockwise to turn on the flashlight. A counter clockwise turn will then switch it off. To toggle between brightness levels, turn the light on, and then turn it off. Within 1.5 seconds after being turned off, twist the head on again and it will be switched to the next brightness level. Just do the same thing to switch it to the third stage and so forth. Keep the light off for over 1.5 seconds, and the light will turn completely off, and the regulative circuit will be restored.

Warning
• Please do not disassemble the sealed part in the head of the flashlight by yourself, doing so will void our warrantee.
• Please put the battery's anode side towards the light's head. Reverse polarity may damage the circuit. Product Warranty
• Limited lifetime warranty. Repair is free, but the cost of parts will be charged.

hey coop1957. spend any time at www.countycomm.com? i was just browsing (and buying) there yesterday and recognize the mini-pry and the razor from over there.

anyway, i have a question.

how many people have purchased items BECAUSE of this thread?
i'm guilty. since reading these various pocket dumps i've picked up one of those Brunton Helios lighters, 2 fisher space pens (the titanium bullet and the original AG-7)

and yesterday, i broke down and bought a surefire. i was pretty set in on the E2E, it seems like the one most often carried. but for the same price, i found the 6P. for the same price, but with 11 hour run time as compared to the 1.5 of E2E. and 80 lumens to the e2e's 60. plus, it's LED which i like. should be here in a couple of days.

you know what would make an interesting thread? ED"C" in your vehicle? all of the entries would be super long, i imagine.

a few months ago, i got a Land Rover Discovery and have just been perpetually stocking off-road/recovery equipment. hiking stuff, survival goods, back-up clothing. it's absurd. i could live in it for months.

i'm relatively new here, so i know none of the users. something tells me a lot of the members here are some sort of...officers of the law. is that a safe assumption?

just a lot of traits are shared, i suppose.

i have a few questions, but they might be really stretching the theme of "Every Day Carry" as in, i've been trying to catch up on the previous 196 pages, i think i'm up to page 22, or somewhere in there. where, back in 2003, there was some very interesting discussion on the philosophy/definition of an EDC. so i was wondering, first off, if there's a more appropriate thread/section to be posting questions about, say...boots. i know it's a knife-forum. but i'm impressed with how particular everyone is about their gear. makes me feel normal. but the question seems more fitting for a sort of "gentleman's den" section. but it's closely related. as in, there's very few things a man should carry. you should not ever leave the house with them, and they should be of the highest quality your life might demand. they are - knife, watch, boots. and maybe flashlight/lighter.

all of this to ask opinions on Matterhorn boots. which i'll expand upon a bit later, depending on the answers i get about straying from topic.

i also hope that this thread itself hasn't run it's course with the senior members, and my being new and posting in it often is seen as more of a nuisance.

in keeping with the theme though, i will say that, i'm about to wash my car so i'm down to bare essentials.

i wonder how much age has to do with EDC's. i'm 24, and most of my like-aged, male friends don't even carry knives. one of them, but i just caused a second one to begin carrying. and none of them wear watches, either. the one knife carrying acquaintance does wear an Archimede watch.

p.s. i just noticed...my phone must encrypt that little "Shot with a..." thing. i noticed it in the imageshack link...strange.

I've gone through a bunch of combo's over the years, but lately I have found a great pair for just walking around EDC.
