My Warren Thomas M2. This folder has ended my "ideal" edc folder search. No more, what steel is best?; this folder is too heavy, blah-blah-blah! The M2, wraps it all up---for me. The M2 is an extremely light, compact, folder with a Carbide edge, cuts like crazy.

I'm gonna quote ya on this one buddy, it has to be your longest quote EVER!!! :D:D:D

Oh yeah, Strider SMF and SAK Farmer for me today

I'm a bit curious. Many of the posters seem to show two or even three separate knives as their EDC. What sort of "ED" activities do you lot typically engage in that you feel requires so many blades?

I, myself, will carry more than one blade in special circumstances (wilderness travel for example) but not as an every day occurance.

For me it's completely mental. I just like having two knives on me. I carry a Victorinox and a main blade. It's also convenient if I feel the people around me wouldn't like to see me open a "tactical" knife. SAK are pretty commonplace in my area and, as far as I see, do not get stares and comments.

Hey, exactly what I do  I just swapped out my Classic SD for a SAK Farmer that I got yesterday :)

I am still carrying my Blue twill Begg Gent's Glimpse & Mie Alsdorf slippie. I don't see that Begg getting bumped out of my pocket any time soon. It is THE most comfy knife in the hand.

Deyammmm....this thread has nearly 1 million views!

Is this the biggest thread in BF history? Anyone keep track of these things?

A switch up in my right front pocket, since I am actually going into town for the evening to meet up with several good folksy friends and tie on a little libation..

A Theuns Prinsloo liner lock folder with Burl scales and one of his custom receipts of forged Nickle damascus for the blade and bolsters..

Cheers :)

Beeee-utiful knife... I'd love to see some more of the file work...

I usually have one of my Kershaws, or my benchmade mini grip. Kershaws include, NRG2, E.T., Junkyard Dog composite, and an old snap-on Scallion.

In addition to the usual BM 530 and Case Swayback, I have a mora #760-mg on my hip today.

I carry two because there are certain things I just don't want to use a certain knife for. My BM710 gets all the hard work.

In my other pocket I carry a Vic Soldier for the tools, and the blade gets used for food preperation. I wouldn't think of ever touching food with the 710. No matter what the situation, the blade on the Soldier doesn't touch anything but food.

Some people carry extra weight around because they're terrified of sheeple . There are two simple solutions to that problem: A) Don't carry the knife if you think it's going to scare people, or B) Don't worry about it.

I think mostly it's a case of different knives for different jobs. one knife may be great at heavier work (hacking, light prying ect) but utterly useless at fine work. so they may want annother for finer jobs. also some are dedicated self defence knives, with a second knife as a working knife (for anything not involving using it against other people)

In a simmilar vein some keep a decent knife for most jobs, and a "beater" knife for the rougher jobs that might dammage the decent knife.

third reason is the "I can't decide between them" issue, whereby you have two knives, both of which you particuly like, but only one of which you need. but which one do you want to leave? neither. so carry both!:D
