I'm more curious about the flashlight that everyone seems to have. I guess I've never been in a situation where I needed a flashlight in a long time. I have one in my emergency box, but I never needed to carry one everyday.

my one (admittedly only a little one) has come in handy for rumaging around behind computers ect when a cable has come out, or I've dropped something behind them. plus occasionaly to see what the hell is at the bottom of my backpack (which I use for collage books mainly)

can't realy see the reason for a larger model than a keychain light, but if you work night shifts, or somewhere where the lights are dodgy, then I suppose it's a good idea.

Beeee-utiful knife... I'd love to see some more of the file work...

Thanks timcsaw, the dawg-on thing cuts and cuts and seems to never need much of a sharpening, rather a strope every now & then. And the action is just as smooth as glass. :D

Here you go.. I got a shot of the inside of the liners and if'n you look real close you will see Theuns Prinsloo's signature "first people" which he hand engraves on all his wears..

I'll try and get a shot of the backside 'fore the sun goes down tomorrow.

The small "keychain" or personal lights from Photon and Inova are small, unobtrusive and almost disappears until you need it. Very bright output despite their small size. Good back-up as well for your main light.

If you carry a firearm you should definately carry a decent flashlight! More then half the time I carry two FLs on me. If your an LEO and don't carry at least one off duty your tactics are wrong!

I always have my Surefire E2DL on me. I'm planning on getting another E1B Backup, and maybe a G2L for the glove box. You can't touch Surefire for quality control and F&F. Except maybe something by CRK.

So I guess you could say Fenix is the spyderco of the light world? I have the L1D and it is awesome. I always mean to stick it in my coat but forget everytime. there are so many times I wish I had it on me. Don't carry one in th summer though generally because it's too bulky to put in my jeans.

No. Fenix is made in china. Surefire is made in usa. ;)

Fenix lights are good, but I really love my SF. I'd recommend Fenix lights to people that aren't going to put them through extremes. My SF has been frozen, soaked, and frozen again. Still works fine.

youre totally right, not many people need or want a flashlight in their front pocket. however, i find mine comes in handy often because i cant see in the dark.

You would think that would be the case, but my experience with SF has been quite the opposite. I had to replace not one, but two end caps and buy a new bulb within 3 months of owning my E2D. After doing some research on CPF, I discovered the faulty end cap is fairly common. To me, a product is only as good as its weakest link, and until SF decides to fix the problem rahter than simply replace the part, I'll spend my money elsewhere. Just my take , though.

I have been carrying my Zing today cool little knife. It flips so well it is almost more toy than tool lol!

As far as flashlights I carry a novatac 120p. it is small yet powerful and has been very reliable. I use my flashlight more than any other tool on a daily basis. I rarely use the highest outputs but it is nice to have it when I do.
