Sitting here getting disgusted with the Miami Dolphins and decided to update my posts here with what I'm carrying today.

RF Pocket - Gen 2 SnG
LF Pocket - Lg Sebenza (as many of these as I've owned/sold/traded, I keep coming back to them)
Necker - Emerson custom tanto necker
LR Pocket - Recurve SLCC
Belt - Swisstool

Wow, I told myself I wasn't going to post until I read the whole thread. AFter about 2 days of off and on, here and there reading, I am finally done. I figure this would be the best place for my first bladeforums post. Here is what I am carrying. After reading this site a bit, I am going to be upgrading.

The only thing I have a set pocket for is my Fossil Bifold in my back right. My back left pocket is empty. IN my front pockets I carry my change, a Leatherman Micra, a set of keys for work and my home keys. Actually, the only key I have on there that does anything is my car key, but I have a Coast LED flashlight, a little metal whistle (John Deere 100th anniversary model) and a Hawkeye keychain that was a gift form my girlfriend. I wear a Fossil Big Tic on my left wrist. I used to carry a Gerber Ridge and really liked it but lost it, so out of imulse I went and bought a new Gerber Trendy. I had been looking at SAK's and really likethe Victorinox silver alox Soldier so I bought one of those to edc. I am considering getting a mini-griptilian. I also want to get a pen to carry with me at work so I am probably going to be purchasing a Fisher bullet. I want something small that I can carry in my pocket. I also am looking to replace my micra with either a P4 or an EL. I think I will use the pliers more often than the scissors. Any thoughts?

OK, so many EDC is changing without even being set....just won a Victorinox and Juice off of EBay. Mainly bought it cause I wanted a juice for light duty work at work adn the SAK is a plus for what I payed for it.

Welcome to BladeForums!
and thank you so much for contributing your first 2 posts to this thread.

The Victorinox Soldier is a great choice - I only relatively recently discovered that the small screwdriver tip on the can-opener is actually designed to fit #1 & #2 Phillips screws - so in one compact pocket knife one has large and small regular flathead screwdrivers as well as the ability for Phillips too.

Some people like the in-body awl - claiming it seems to make more precise/centered holes.

The Soldier used to come with a hollow rivet as standard for the ability to attach a lanyard (circa 1961-1993) but without any protrusion to keep the smooth outline for easy pocket carry.

Many, including myself, regret the loss of this hollow rivet - some really would like some means of attaching a line to prevent loss for working at elevation or over water - so have opted for the Pioneer model - which is very similar to the Soldier but with the standard (split) keyring.

Recently I was made aware that there actually are Soldier models with the standard keyring - please take a look at this thread - where in just 9 days we went from a mere mention of such a model, to actually locating new current production versions for sale -

Victorinox Soldier WITH Keyring?

I changed to a Mission Wallet and it is TOO COOL! So here's my new(er) EDC:

Front Right: Mission Wallet with my Space Pen and SAK Yeoman, ID, and $$$(yeah, right!), Kershaw PS Leek.

Rear Right: NOTHING! :D

Left Rear: Hanky, bandana, Inova X-1

Left Front: Keltec P32 w/ extra magazine.

I just bought a Camillus CUDA Dominator with a partially serrated blade. So far so good. Not too big in the pocket and it is pretty light weight. I don't notice it being there.

mattk

I've got my SAK swisschamp in my pocket...serves me well at work and such, I dont really notice it despite the size, my T610 cell phone is bigger then that in the opposite pocket causing no drama's...

Still I'd rather a sebbie in my pocket, just too broke to get one...

Well I don't think I ever replied to this thread, so I might as well join the fun. Today I'm carrying a SAK soldier and a LM squirt, tomorrow it might be something different. It's hard to believe that a SAK soldier is my prefered EDC, it's just so boring (don't think I could ever give it up though).

I'm very sad and angry now.

The government issued a new law banning all the gun permits... :(

Now, only the bad guys can carry firearms in Brazil !!!
But we're fighting in the courts against that stupid law....

Well, back to the subject:

I don't carry my Beretta anymore, so, my edc for today is:
Benchmade 806D2,
Small Classic Sebeza,
Swiss Champ SAK with my keys,
Nokia 8910i Cell phone,
Wallet: documents, credit cards, some $$ and check book,
Pelikan Toledo Fountain pen,
Small ASP.

That's it for today, but I rotate a lot my EDC knives, according to my mood ;)

Regards,

Andre Tiba - Brazil

Trust me, you have a great choice with that Victorinox Soldier. It is my preferred EDC, and alot of other folks love it as well. I won't ever take mine out of the EDC.

What's up, new to the forum.
I usually carry my microtech dragonfly (soon to be spyderfly) in my right hip pocket, my gerber mini covert clipped IWB next to the button of my pants, my wallet in my rear right pocket (the dragonfly will move next to it once i get my spydie), my BM-47 in a kydex sheath in the small of my back. I occasionally carry my FB-04 Perrin if i dont have my 47. I carry my Para Military, my keys and my cell phone in my other hip pocket. My keyring has a Gerber Ridge. People usually laugh at the number of blades i have.
At night, i carry a surefire G2 in a custom kydex sheath.

drdoorkicker,
Welcome to the forum!.. And might I say, you do seem to employ quite a few blades for your EDC's... You'll fit in just fine here, I do believe! ;)

Abundant Blessings to you & yours,

Anthony~

Hello, bladeforums,

This is my first post here. What an interesting site, and what a great thread. I have been reading it in little spurts at a time for days and days.

Here's my current EDC:

Right front pocket:
a CRKT Carson Design M16-13SF
a Leatherman Micra
a Maglite Solitaire
a double-ended keyring with keys, an Inova red LED light and Sliver Gripper tweezers on one ring and keys and a P38 can opener on the other

Left front pocket:
a black leather credit-card wallet with cards, cash, wallet stuff (need to clean it out)

Right cargo pocket:
a paperback book in a nylon cover (currently, it's "The Sea Hunters" by Clive Cussler and Craig Dirgo)

Left cargo pocket:
A Spec Ops Brand Dry-Cell On-Board cargo pocket organizer with
CRKT Carson Design M16-14D desert commemerative, a Garrity 2-AAA flashlight, a pen from Target with a braided-steel barrel, a small carabiner, a tube of Carmex, a Doan magnesium firestarter, a mini Bic lighter, a one gig CompactFlash card, a triangular cross-section knife sharpener, three inches of unsharpened No. 2 pencil with 90-mile-an-hour tape wrapped around it and a pack of those Listerine breath strips. I'm not using the plastic liners that make the organizer waterproof right now.

Right rear pocket:
a 3"x5" notebook in a black nylon Brigade Quartermasters cover

Left rear:
nothing

On belt:
a cell phone
a nylon sheath with a couple of 256 megabyte USB drives
a Nite Ize Pock-Its sheath with a Gerber MultiPlier, a Mini Maglite and a telescoping magnet

In a shoulder holster:
a Beretta M9 and two mags with ball ammo

Around neck:
ID Tags
A neck wallet with IDs and some odds and ends, including address book and phone lists (need to clean it out, also).

I also wear my wedding band and university ring. I alternate watches. Sometimes a cheap Timex on my wrist. Sometimes cheap analog from I don't remember where on a fob on my belt.

That's what I have on me right now. I carry/wear more stuff every day on my body armor.

I just started carrying the cargo pocket organizer again and what is in it wil probably change. It replaced a 4"x6" notebook in a black nylon cover that I rarely used because of the smaller notebook on my hip.

I almost always EDC a Sony Cybershot digital camera in one of the cargo pockets. Just didn't today.

Also, one of my hobbies ;) is buying and losing the bullet-style Fisher Space Pens and I am between pens right now. Lost the last one a while back, and I miss it. I'll be getting another.

Again, great thread, and I hope folks keep it alive.

Regards,
Chris

Hey Land! Why ball ammo? If you're military and on-duty I can understand. But if it's on your own time why not pick something more effective?

Just wondering...

Unlike most of you, I'm not equipped for the end of the world on an everyday basis. About my person I have:

Wallet
Keys
Handkerchief
Watch
Knife

At the moment the knife is this little penknife:

penknife.JPG

which I rather like. However I'm about to start cycling to work again, so I'll need a knife with a clip because anything else might fall out of my pocket while on the bike. I'm going to try my Calypso Jr out, problem is it'll scare the life out of people here in the UK  so I might have to find something more discreet. Probably a small Benchmade or SS Spyderco something-or-other.
