I carry a turquoise photon freedom and a half leatherman micra. I took apart one and put the knife, fingernail file, flat head screwdriver, and the bottle opener/small scredriver on one arm and bolted them back together. I saw it on the forums here and thought it was a god idea. It fits really nicely on a keyring, and its a quality tool. In my wallet I carry a Cymba titanium bottle opener. An my blade of choice is a SOG Flash-1

Ken,

The Storm whistle reminds me of an elephant-shaped plastic key I had as a child. It worked recorded messages, keyed boxes outside of many of the animal's cages, at the Portland, Or. zoo.

Is the reflective tape, very clever  , the 3M variety that reflects almost 100% of light hitting it? Does it stay on well? Where do you get yours? http://cms.3m.com/cms/US/en/2-135/ciuuiFQ/view.jhtml

What do you put in the sheath? Both SAK & light I suppose.

Best,

oregon

I wonder who gave you the idea of that! ;)

On the other hand which Ti bottle opener do you carry?

Might as well update my list as I wait for a looong compile to complete (new items marked with *):

  • Left Front:
    • Chrome Bullet Space Pen
    • RWClark Ti Prytool (slightly longer than the space pen)
  • Right Front:
    • African Blackwood Mnandi
    • Right Front Watch Pocket:
      • * Arc AAA (finally got one!)
      • * Gerber Nail clippers (folds completely flat)
      • Victorinox Manager (original with sheepsfoot blade)
  • Right Rear Pocket:
    • Handkerchief/Bandana
    • * Micro-fiber eyeglass cloth
  • Belt 2 o'Clock position:
    • Original Leatherman Wave in Horizontal Carry Bianchi sheath
  • Man Bag:

Mines still the vaquero grande in RFP. Buck juno is still in left back pocket. I have added a buck executive to my pockets and it is in my wallet since it is rather flat

Erm, the reflective tape is some japanese brand. Its actually reflective SHEET.
I cut across the roll to get 1 inch strips.
Kinda like cutting a hotdog to little bite-sized pieces.
The tape is very thin, almost like a film, it stretches a little if you pull so it works alittle like cling wrap and sticky tape combined.
I dunno abt the US, but i get them from wholesalers at industrial estates in my country.
And you're right abt the sheath, it holds the SAK and light.

How would they do on a keychain? I'm always w/o nail nips because the usual ones are too heavy, bulky and large. I like small, compact and light.
Yup, those are 'em. They are about as thin as the alox version of a victorinox Classic and perhaps a bit longer with sharper corners. They are definitely small, compact and light, but might be fiddly to use with keys attached to them. Cheers, enkidu

Today, I am carrying my newly acquired limited edition 2000 Buck 532--rosewood scales, BG 42 steel, and beautiful file work. This pattern, called the Buck Lock, is at the moment my very favorite pattern.
