cmd,

What's that odd shaped object between your wallet and the multi-tool?

It's a tool to use for all of those little chores that a knife is not the best tool for but could be used for. All credit goes to Peter Atwood for the idea.

I made it from a piece of metal found in a parking lot and heat treated it similar to 5160. It is a non-stainless steel probably now in the high 50s RC.

It's good for prying, pulling nails/staples, stripping wire, scraping, opening paint cans, etc.

cmd,

When I first saw it, I thought it looked like the top off a small crowbar. I guess I wasn't too far off. Looks pretty handy.

I've slimmed down my EDC even more lately. When I'm at work, I carry a Victorinox Spartan, keys with an Inova mini light, and Kyocera K9 cell phone. I've also eliminated my wallet and use a Mossimo front pocket card holder. I may go with a money clip/card holder if I can find one I like.

Outside of work, it varies. Usually I'll carry my Delica IWB, and either a Military or Manix in the RF pocket with the Spartan in the LF. Or I'll carry the Manix in its custom sheath.

My EDC when I am not working, no phone and no watch.

Edit: The first time I post this image it did not come out, thanks cardimon for letting me know.

Here is my typical workday EDC, not including my access cards for work and parking. I am very happy with the Sebenza and Hawk combo.

What kind of multi-tool is that? I had one that looked similar.

On topic:

I changed my EDC once again, now its: my keys, a mini LED light, Leatherman Squirt p4 AND Squirt s4 on a (real) carabiner hook.

Also a sheathed Klien Tools folder, (All stainless except for a strip of rosewood inlay running down the handle.) My wallet and a lighter.

Edit: heres the kinda knife I carry: Knife.

I don't know what brand it is, one was given to everyone on my team by a vendor.

Post a picture of your Manix and sheath, if possible. That sounds like a nice setup. I really like the Manix but it is a little too heavy for me for pocket cary.

cmd,

Here's a link to the manix photos. Hopefully you're able to view them. If not, let me know, and I'll shoot you an email.

It's still kind of tight right now. I'm still trying to loosen it up a bit. Here's another pic showing me with the sheath on my belt

I just put it on my side for picture purposes. I find it feels more comfortable carried small of back.

I actually owned the sheath for a few months before I got the manix. The funny thing is, I got them from the same person. Truthfully, I find the Manix carries well in everything but my lightest khakis. It tends to feel like it's dragging those down. In fact, I'm carrying it clipped to the pocket of my sweat pants right now, and it feels fine. I think you'll be surprised how easily you can carry it, whether by the clip, or in a sheath.
