Carrying the Rough Rider Big Daddy Barlow with Amber Bone scales again while out...I'll be spending some time at a friend's house tonight, so I'll leave that at home and just go with the Vic Sportsman. My friends are mostly non-knife people, unfortunately.

That's a very nice Kiridashi...the handle looks like curly Maple...

I think the handle is jigged bone; the blade is made of titanium. The guy that sold it to me had no info on it (he was a new guy, didn’t even know what to call it). I think it’s made by Spencer A. Reiter of SAR knives judging from the signature, but the signature isn’t really clear.

I don’t know if that skull lanyard is made by him as well.

Did you sand then patina the blades? They look really nice!

The douk-tiki came with a factory blackened blade. The large douk started to get a natural patina with use and I liked the black blade on the little guy so much I accelerated the process with the large. Soaked it in some very strong instant coffee (about the only thing that stuff is good for) and then mineral oil.
