Likewise, a 710, this one with an M390 blade. WAYYYY more knife than I need, but mercy! what a nice piece of cutlery.

For quite a long time I have looked at that Winkler II Belt Knife and wanted to get one. I had talked to Mr. Winkler in February about the Winkler Utility Knife, and had planned to order it in May, but May came and May went, with no knife ordered.
Today I finally sent the email to have him go ahead and make this knife for me!
This pic is from his website, and shows the knife with the black rubber handles, Caswell finish, serrations on the back of the blade, and a camo kydex sheath. What I ordered differed a little. I am going to go with the curly maple handle like the one Ed has. I am also having the serrations left out, going with the Caswell finish, and a brown leather covered kydex sheath. These kydex sheaths look very good in the pics, and look like they will ride high which is what I want.So know the wait begins. Daniel told me in Feb. that it would take 3 to 6 weeks for completion, so that is not bad at all.:thumbup:
I'm starting to pick up a few more fixed blades it seems, and this will be my second custom as I already have the Model XII from Eddie White of Shadow Knives.
So thanks Ed for continually posting pics of that knife and driving me crazy for one, no really, I mean thanks!:thumbup:

Shih-Ling Dao from Taiwan thing is just plain scary sharp,carbon steel which doesn't bug me at all and buffalo horn handle.
