OK,
kmboldon
, here's a few pics, an appreciation, and a few caveats.
Yeah, the blade on this Case Sodbuster Jr has a wicked high polish.
The shape and feel of the Delrin handle scales and the overall knife is very pleasing...
..and the brass rivets and liners are great accents.
The caveats center around realistic expectations for a $25 knife and how a fussy-ass, mid-tech, modern-folder guy might view this one. (Actually, I'm not personally all that fussy, but you know what I mean.) Anyway, at this price point for a pinned knife, just how much time can the assembler spend on each one? Pin it all together and grind everything flush in what, five minutes and on to the next? This is really a nice knife and will be a great worker, but symmetry, lack of grind marks, and centering aren't going to be the hallmarks of this baby. I'm really glad I got it, though, it'll be a great second-carry, and I expect it to be in the bottom of my left-front a lot.

BTW, shoutout to
@Whetstone39 for his thoughts and guidance. Thanks, Tom.
Edit: You were right, Tom, the Sodbuster was
wicked sharp out of the box!
