EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Yep. You just made me pull one of my 561's to carry tomorrow. And because I don't see myself going with out a CRK and I don't have a righty yet it looks like its the first gen that's gonna see the right pocket. What a great knife. My all time favorite.

It really is an awesome knife!
For years I've talked myself out of ZT's for one reason or another. Whenever there is one that does catch my eye, at their price point there always seems to be something else that I want even more, and buried in the back of my head ZT vs. ?, is the thought that "they are just upgraded Kershaw's".
Nothing against Kershaw either, I've owned (and still do) quite a few, and right wrong or indifferent, it's just that lingering voice that talks me off the ledge every time... Do I really want to spend midtech money on a premium Kershaw?

In any case, they stopped using ELMAX, (and I do love ELMAX), plus the added detail of the Ti milling on the lockside always set the 0561 ahead of the pack for me, and it's been the "one that got away" for all intents and purposes because I wasn't going to pay $300+ for one as many people are trying to charge for them NiB these days.
So in any case, Thanksgiving night, an old (best) friend who I hadn't seen in about 10 years I found out had OD'd, and that weekend I finally talked myself into a ZT in memory of him, and also as a reminder of how I have Zero Tolerance for that bull$#!× in or around my life, (which is why we lost contact in the first place, due to his ongoing life choices). I scoured the exchange and found this one buried a few pages deep, still available at a fair price, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase! It has been finding a whole lot of pocket time since it's arrival, and certainly well suited among my favorites.

Probably not going to buy another ZT any time soon, but certainly zero regrets on pulling the trigger on this one.

Elmax is my favorite steel. Really wished it was used more. And I was gifted the first gen. I am currently carrying today. I feel very fortunate to have two and days I'm feeling specially bad I double carry 0561's. Picks me up for some unknown reason. Thankfully its only been needed twice since I have received the first gen.

I got the main body of the chimney cap made today. It sure is a lot harder to solder a 42" lock seam that a couple 6" test pieces. It's not the prettiest, but it'll be watertight and will stay together. The joint's appearance is good enough for seagulls anyway. Tomorrow I'll cut the pipe hole, make and solder in a 2" riser for it, and cut and fabricate the deflector cone. I carried my F95T for Titanium Turtle Tuesday.
