Today's load out. Back to the office work and with a new pocket organizer. This one is a bit smaller made from crazy horse leather. I'll run it for a few days before I cut it apart and make a template from it to reproduce more. Fits the smaller knives and flashlights well. And taking the customized Kiser S.L.T. out with the CRK inkosi for the heavy lifting. Like working on a computer requires any of that. Lmao.

Having carried the SuperLeaf yesterday, I grabbed my Laconico-designed Kizer Vanguard series Intrepid today as I always think of those two as alike, however aside from them being of similar size with broad VG10 blades and G10 scales they're really quite different in several ways. The Kizer is a liner-lock flipper with a hollow-ground blade, a spring clip, and runs on bearings while the Superleaf is FFG with a wire clip, has a compression lock and Spydie hole, and runs on PB washers. There is a bit of visual similarity between the two helped along by having almost identical lanyards and beads on the knives.

The Kizer Vanguard series knives are a budget line but give you a lotta knife and admirable F&F for well under a hundred bucks. The Intrepid is a very quick, easy, foolproof flipper with a medium-light detent. This one was a gift from my son a few years ago, gets carried every now and then, and will always be part of my collection.

I shot these pics as I was fitting and prepping to solder the riser ring for the smoke pipe penetration into the chimney cap this morning.
