That is one of the most popular models ever made! Well worth cleaning up!!

Yup it’s a mini Rukus. I would send it to Benchmade. They might be able to replace the blade for a small fee. Plus they will replace all the old internals and pocket clip. Nice find

Yeah the Mini Ruckus is definitely worth saving. I thought it was worth buying again. Always regretted selling it in the first place.View attachment 1303188

Thanks everyone, I spent some time on it and put in a little elbow grease, Breakfree CLP and bore cleaner. It cleaned up pretty well but the blade looks like it was sharpened on the sidewalk haha. I asked my FIL about the knife and he didn't recognize it. I told him I wanted to clean it up for him but he didn't want it, so I guess it's mine now.

I have sent an email to Benchmade about a new blade at my cost, I will update you when they respond. Here are a couple of pics after a bath in cleaning solution and a rag.

Def looks better and the mini Rukus is a great folder! I sent a couple folders into BM to request blade replacements And if they have it available for that model its only like 35 bucks! If they don't have it available anymore you could always refinish the blade, stonewash or acid wash it, or have it coated, or reground etc. definitely fixable. Great find!

Thanks, the action and internals had paint & Grime all inside them. that explains the action being horrible. it's much better now, not quite drop shut but really I'm impressed how the blade is still centered and the action held up so well considering.

Friday I had my Turtle opened up for a much-needed cleaning and re-lube, followed by a quick stropping that brought the only slightly diminished M390 edge right back. No fancy interior milling on this older SRBS model. Here it is with half the bearings and the blade back in waiting for the 2nd 17 to be re-inserted.

Today I had Mr T along with me. I spent way too much of a beautiful day under the sink and mopping up water after the handle broke off the kitchen faucet. I got out late in the afternoon to snap these out back.
