EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I almost picked up a Protech SNG the other day but I'm holding out for a skinny skinner right now. Nice knife, is it slimmer than a normal SNG?

ErocSD ErocSD , Nice knife, is it slimmer than a normal SNG?

If it is, it's not by much. To me, it felt just like the older model, even just gripping it. Now, I must say that it's been a few years since I had the original model, but I'd have to say that within an ounce it would have me fooled.

I’d say it’s slightly slimmer and I know mine is definitely lighter without a doubt. “Others”
Mileage may vary depending on there scales/covers.

The Pro-Strider SNG is definitely not thinner in the grip - pert near identical, even to my "Thickass" SnG (.190" blade stock). Speaking of blade stock however, the Pro-Strider is a good bit slimmer than even a standard SnG.

Here is the Thickass compared to a standard XM18 3.5" Strider SnG's are deceptively slim - it's the big butt that hides that.

I assume the aluminum handles help with weight but I believe the original was g10 so I could be wrong.

Born and raised here and in 57 yrs I can't recall Central Avenue being this barren at 3:50pm on a Saturday :(

By no means trying to be offensive Paul, but that's pretty much what I imagined North Dakota looks like all the time.;)
I'm guessing there are a lot of deserted main streets right now.:(

I've got my new SIG Hogue EX-02 on me right now.
Just got it yesterday (ordered it before I was unemployed as of Monday) so no pictures yet.
But the walnut handle is a stunner!

LOL, no offense taken, North Dakotan's commonly say that the country's perception of us is just fine, keeps the riff raff out, or is it the EXTREME COLD:D Actually my home town is a hoppin little place. Mostly Bars and Churches so Saturday's are, for the most part busy seeing how the bars are like 60 feet apart;) but the Governor mandated Bars and Restaurants closed.

It’s been a few years since I had a Strider SNG in my my hands and would of sworn the Protech SNG was thinner but you you’ve proved me wrong :)
I think because it’s so much lighter is why it led me to believe it was also thinner

After seeing the above pics I ammended my post, Guess I wasn't fast enough... gotta be quick around here haha. The handle looks slimmer than a standard XM18 but the blade stock is much thicker I guess, good to know. It's like a little prybar almost.
Mine is a model called a "Fatty" or "Thickass" in that the blade stock is the same .190" as the SMF.

Dinking around with this BRS Ukraine made set. It’s pretty obvious the profile is a Mora Companion.

Not bad. Came highly polished, which is starting to show spotting as most high carbon blades do.

Fit and finish is good considering the low price. Slight convex on the Scandinavian grind.

Non treated scales are even and grinds are even. Sheath is ok; wet formed and not dry. The form kinda worked against re-sheathing, since the tip wants to poke through the handle molded parts.

Carried the GB1 again today. I put it on the anchor for scale. I REALLY like this model. My buddy/business partner picked this up. Sat in the ocean for 20 years and then the bushes for 10 more.
