Picked up a well loved Protech strider SNG recently off the exchange for a great price to try out the Strider design. My first ProTech also and its definitely a cool knife. Very solid.
I was looking at the Protech TR4 yesterday online and noticed they've switched from 154CM to CPM D2 steel. I was hoping they would move up to a PM steel but not sure if D2 was the right choice ...
+1 for properly heat treated D2! Protech typically dials in their HT recipes nicely, so I’m looking forward to trying their D2CPM D2 is a powdered steel. I'm very happy with it so far.
For sure Blackwash really compliments that knifeSame here the last couple of days. When I first got it I was actually kind of surprised by how much I really liked it.

I have a few ZTs in blackwash and I love it - really changes the character of the knife imo.
