EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

CPM D2 is a powdered steel. I'm very happy with it so far.

+1 for properly heat treated D2! Protech typically dials in their HT recipes nicely, so I’m looking forward to trying their D2

Good to hear guys. I have one folder in CPM D2 but haven't had enough time with it to really test out the steel yet. I'm not normally a huge fan of D2 (its ok just not my first choice) but heat treat is definitely the key and the powdered metal process is an upgrade for sure so ill try an keep an open mind about it.

I took my Tabargan to work in PTown yesterday and discovered a couple spots of the marine grade adhesive caulk I was using on its G10 slabs when I got home. I did manage to get it off with a stiff brush as it wasn't well-adhered, but I was more cautious today as I spent a couple hours in the metal shop using the same material to seal new tops on the in-wall scuppers. I went to the shallow end of the cost pool for an old stand-by that was my work EDC for quite some time back when, as its liberally scratched blade will attest. I've got several Tenaci and have a soft spot for the model, this particular one being my gateway knife into better quality modern folders. Now I spend most days circling the drain in the deep end and cleaning caulk off knives whose prices would each provide 30 blades such as today's carry. Go figure.

BTW, I didn't get one spot of adhesive on the 30 dollar knife. o_O

The OG Paramilitary D2 put me in a Spyderco Sunday mood today (with an ever grateful nod to the ubercoolcat Dr Flat ). Paired here with the original Cruwear.

Swapped in some sweet Fireside Co OD Tero on the Cruwear Para 3. Also went back and forth over some clip swap decisions like some fussy old woman.:)

That TT looks (like it feels) phenomenal brother! It’s great to see the OG getting some flex :)

Late lunch break today (and a nod of the head to our upcoming Cinco de Mayo holiday) and I’m on a little slower pace than yesterday and didn’t get up till sunrise, threw my whole daily schedule off. But, the real silver lining was that I was outside a little later than usual, and witnessed firsthand the return of the Baltimore Orioles, migrating back and eating out of my feeders I had just put back up yesterday. I have a new idea on suspending a Socom and getting a picture of a male Oriole perching on it, so if it works out it’s going to be one unique photo to share. For now, it’s wait and see.

Simple tacos with flour tortillas heated in butter, leftover Abobo chicken meat, refried beans, Colby Jack cheese (melted), fresh picked chives and garlic top greens from the garden, green pepper Tabasco sauce, and Sriracha hot chili sauce for dipping. My Old Faithful Socom doing the prep and finale split.

Edited for spelling error. Was retried beans, corrected to refried beans.

Oh my That looks delicious My Friend!
The Socom looks at home to :) What a beauty !!!

I decided to change up after finishing my couple hours in the shop this morning. I'm enjoying a relaxing rest of my Sunday on a beautiful day, chilling in my favorite chair with the slider open, and spinning some Bill Evans vinyl. I figured I should have a beautiful knife along too, so I grabbed my CKF MILK. Everything about this knife is smooth, from its hand-sanded blade--sterile, but for M390 lasered on the tab--to the look and silky feel of the blue ano'd Ti slabs, to the action with its easy flip open and just a gentle shake for a nicely dampened, hydraulic close.
