EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I hope you enjoy it there great little knives. I think you’ll find it will sharpen nicely. I just use some green compound on mine with a leather strop and once in a while maybe some black . If the edge is a little to far gone a spydie sharpmaker will work nicely to. If I want a polished edge and in the mood to sharpen I’ll pull out my edge pro. I’ve found that most of the time with Gec the blades are hair popping sharp but have received a few over the years that were not even close. This is my 3rd Gec #62 pocket carvers and think I have 4 or 5 of the #62 easy pockets. Guess you can say I like this pattern lol.

I was surprised by how small the knife is; I haven't loved the congress pattern knives I've owned, most of them were on the clunky little pocket brick side. It's an exaggeration to say the two small blades are dull, incidentally. They'll cut paper but not shave arm hair, the large blade shaved arm hair casually straight from the tube. Also, the small blades are just the right setup for me, straight edged, thick enough not to bend when used the way I carve, but thin enough at the edge to cut like crazy.

I see more of these in my future. :)

Thanks friends! The first lake was Lake Talapus and the one further up with the snow was Lake Olallie, in the North Bend/Snoqualmie area. All in all just over 6 miles of walking. There are a couple of lakes further up, but we decided to wait a few weeks for the snow to melt some more. Spectacular day though!

Beautiful, beautiful shots for sure. I haven't been up to the Snoqualmie area in a long time. Put it this way, the last time I was there, you could jump a waist-high wooden fence on the trail and just walk right up to the base of the Falls. Now, it's my understanding that that's all blocked off. Simply gorgeous area.

Unexpected mail call last night...totally forgot I ordered these. Couldn’t decide between them, so what the heck...ordered them both!
The character of the smooth bone is amazing. And the thicker handled stag is perfect. Guess I’m keeping them both. :)
Happy Thursday all.

For Throwback Thursday I'm going with a Keen Kutter that was made between 1930-1934, according to Sellens. A K3878 1/4 jigged stag 3 5/8" Cattle Knife (clip, sheepfoot, spey) probably made by Winchester (maybe Schrade), looks like it has been cleaned up a little but it's still pretty solid. Keen Kutter is stamped on the logo shield too.
