A tugger definitely makes life easier. Couple young guys with a strong back and a lot of ambition works well tooThat was an excellent explanation. Just enough for the understanding, but not so much that it's confusing.
Largest pull I've ever been involved in was 150 feet of 250 mcm. Contractor brought a truck-mounted tugger, and lots of wire lube.

When I was a teenager first starting they had me driving ground rods by myself with a sledgehammer. Maybe after year or two I found out we had a jackhammer and a rotary hammer with ground rod driver bits for them the whole time. I got real good with a sledgehammer tho
