EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Well oh my what a beautiful knife !
Slim Midi S90v Bronze Ano /Flamed DLT exclusive. It makes such a satisfying click when opening and closing. Fit and finish is amazing! Unfortunately I think this one is going back :( I was hoping to get around this from happening so under notes I asked to check for lock stick and a strong detent that won’t shake open easily. After opening and closing it a few times it developed horrible lock stick to we’re you can’t even disengage the lock bar with either hand and you have to use your index finger and it’s still difficult. Man I really like this One but pretty sure it’s going back . I’m going to see if it improves but have a feeling it won’t and my fingers are all ready getting tender lol. It might be characteristics for this model since the opening to the lock bar is very thin. I read reviews and only saw one that had this issue so thought I’d be good to go. Oh well you never know sometimes unless you try it out.
I’ll give DLT a call tomorrow and see if there all like this if not I’ll pick another and have them check it while I’m on the phone with them. There really good and they’ll help you as much as they can. Dang it I really like this knife except for the lock stick and I spent literally hours online picking this one out. Action is super super stiff to but I’d be ok with that since it’ll get better with time .

Here’s the small opening that I believe is part of the issue. That and this thin edge/opening on the lockbar area.

That’s a shame, it has such a good looking tiger striped pattern too. I feel your disappointment too, especially after all the time you invested acquiring it. Sorry brother.

Thanks my Friend I appreciate your kind thoughts. It really is a shame it’s such a beautiful knife. The more I think about it I’m More amazed it made it out of Medford this way. I only opened it like 2 or 3 times and the lock stick started increasing . I’ve had a good run with so many first class examples so I guess it was bound to happen. Just wish it wasn’t with this beautiful Medford that I was so looking forward to from one my favorite go to dealers I’ve done business with for many many years although to No fault of theirs.

That fluted ti Military sure does stand out as extra hideous! :p I just got my first Military and immediately wanted a Ti one to make my other Spydercos look better! :D
You may recall I carried the Ti Mille yesterday. That ugly beauty is one of the smoothest knives I own and great in hand despite having to keep my eyes closed tight whenever I use it.

Beauty is in the eye of the knife holder? I can never remember sayings correctly. :D I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for one of these on the exchange. I don't care how smooth and ergonomic that thing is in hand, it's especially hard to look at with that fluting widening up and all that perfect machining....

Shirogorov Mod 95 today.

That's a really sweet Shiro, brother, and that's always been one of my favorite F95 handle milling patterns. I was sorely tempted by a blue one on the Exchange a week or so ago, but as I already have two 95's that I can't imagine selling I was able to keep my trigger locked.

I have to introduce the new Sebenza 25 to the family.

That's one of the the three that @Wavicle had up on the CRK Exchange isn't it? I was greatly tempted by those as well and was just able to hold off as I'd recently bought a PJ Inkosi Insingo and subsequently had Andrey Biryukov make me an out-of-stock knife the next week. Still, I had to take a deep breath to resist. That's a beauty you got there and I think was my favorite of the three. Nice grab.

Got my Bugout back from Benchmade for some new omega springs. Glad to have it back in hand. I immediately swapped the scales back to the aluminum ones I had on it.

I don't own and have never tried a Spyderco knife . Taking all recommendations for one model best suited for edc/office environment type of life ....
Get a Para 3. Was my first. Then I bought 6 more Spydercos after haha.

My suggestion: Chaparral FRN Gray. 2.8" of XHP steel with a weight of 2oz. Has become my office carry of choice. "Lunchroom friendly" as Shabazz would say.

My good ole ZT 0562 TI no lock stick on this beautiful USA made knife and ZT sent me a full set scale screws for free:thumbsup:
There not needed but I know I will have this knife for ever so I wanted a fresh set just to have while they could be had.
Thank you Z T for such a outstanding knife that puts a smile on my face every time it’s in my pocket and in my hand
