How are you liking that knife? It looks like it has no thumb stud so the only way to open it is that wave thing? How well does the knife wave.

Hows the build quality?
Love it. Of course I’m biased when it comes to Bastinelli knives. I have a numbered one from the first run. Build quality is exceptional, especially for a factory release. It doesn’t come with the SF clip, but with a sturdy 3 hole clip, and will also take any EKI Clip. The best illustration of waving and general function is to let Bastien show you.

Yeah I figured it was based on the bram frank kinetic openers. Like we see on the Spyderco Gunting or the Rekat Escallator.

I didn’t know about this knife till I saw it earlier today when surfing my local store’s website and unfortunately they were sold out. Then by chance I saw you posted it.

Now I almost bought the mini mako fixed blade but I didn’t like the way the handle angled the blade coming out the bottom of my hand in reverse grip. I am curious how this knife compares.

Still though for my purposes I doubt I will ever find a self defense folder I enjoy more than my Spyderco Pikal. I am glad to see more knives are being sold where they are set up for reverse waving other than just karambits. Imo reverse waving is a far superior method of waving a knife thab the standard backwards drawing wave into forward grip.

My Spydie Pikal. A knife I never want to have to live without.

But this is even better for dual sd/edc use. I carry it in my left pocket ready for reverse waving.

Esee 3hm yesterday and today for use on a mule deer. Skinning, quartering, and meat prep for the freezer (I do all my own butchering). A few occasional passes on the crock sticks kept it very sharp.

She’s been through two deer and an elk over the last three autumns. Working hours on end is a pleasure with this blade.

Not a cool kid steel, but well tempered 1095 has been spectacular for field use.
