How's the action on that since you deasisted it? Any blade play to make it work right?@hhmoore and @Ditch-Tiger have made this a Barrage Day and reminded me what great knives they are. I've got a basic 585 mini that my wife gave me one Christmas and I've kept that one as I received it, but have done quite a few little mods to my 581, losing the lock, de-assisting, adding standoffs for an open back, and changing the bolster screws and thumb studs to black. M390 steel, great hand-filling design, and my favorite Benchmade clip--black oxide split-arrow--what's not to love? I'll get ahead of myself and post this one for tomorrow's carry.

Thanks, I almost bought a barrage a few years ago but the assist killed what I enjoy about the axis lockAction is free, smooth, and easy. Blade flies out and free-drops closed. No play whatsoever.
I've had maybe a half-dozen AO knives and am not a fan. I de-assisted two, sold three, and kept the Mini Barrage original as it was a gift from my wife. Both my BMK 581 and ZT 0350 are way better knives as manual openers.
Marcus52AR, what model is that?
Saw when you picked that up a few days ago. Great pick up at an excellent price.Nothing about any Hinderer knife appealed to me until I put this in my hand. I get it now.
