It's time for (Canadian) Turkey weekend again which means two things in my mind: 1) Fall is definitely here and 2) homemade Pumpkin pie!

I like Thanksgiving more than Christmas its all about the food you don't have to mess around with presents and such.

Indeed not an apple @Lapedog, it's a quince (Cydonia oblonga). It's slightly tart - nice for jam, but also for liquor. Guess what I made...

I was worried about that also when I bought it. But it's actually just as smooth as my full sized 1911's. Being short barreled, there is a bit less velocity, but still quite a bit of mass up top and in stiff spring to absorb.

Since it gets carried, it gets shot at almost every range trip. She is smooth and reliable. Probably somewhere between 2000-3000 rounds down the pipe so far. Though it hasn't been my primary carry since I got the Smith Performance Center 1911.

Today it’s my Microtech Ultratech. I’ve had this blade since 2007 and enjoy working the action as much today as I did the day I bought it. OTF knives may not be the most useful of knives but they sure are fun!
