EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I had a chip on a blade one time hitting a staple under tape I didn’t see. I thought the same as you let it go so to not waste blade steel trying to remove it and eventually as sharpening went a long it would disappear. That lasted about a week and I could take no more and removed it with some aggressive sharpening. I slept much better knowing it was gone for good :D and didn’t even notice the wasted blade steel that took place to remove it:thumbsup:
Your point is well-taken, and I've gone about dealing with chips that way too. I think it depends somewhat on use and the size of the flaw. I've had a couple pretty big chips on work knives and got after them pretty quickly as they affected function and were just too much to bear looking at. Them being real deep though, does help make the case for not taking them quite all the way out, especially on a work knife which needs more frequent attention anyway.

I might not have even noticed the flaw in my Tabargan's edge had I not opened a sticky package with it, was removing tape residue with my thumb, and found that spot as I couldn't wipe it off. Now, of course, I look for it every time I carry that one and may eventually succumb to the urge to re-sharpen anyway.

This one, again.

Should I decorate the pile side?

For sure I think if I had a hard use drive hard and put away wet knife:D I’d probably just work it out to since sharpening would be much more frequent. All my knives never get hard use although not by choice it’s just my everyday use only consists of some TV dinner boxes, cutting ropes at work a couple times a month and slicing open packaging of new knives lol.My chips weren’t to bad but could feel it with my finger easily and only see it if I looked hard for it with my readers lol.
