You just pinch it open there’s plenty of blade to grab and it’s a nice effortless pull.It’s such a wonderful knife the fit and finish is unbelievable. It’s one of the best back lock knives I’ve ever owned there is no up or down play or side to side it’s rock solid.
The olive wood on this one is eye candy to.

Anyway, this was meant to be my “special occasion” knife. Turned out to be my “sweatpants and t-shirt” knife today....

Three of the recent ones I've picked up.

Benchmade Rift, great knife wanted one for years. Another Benchmade Griptilian, finally got a Sheepsfoot version. Both the Benchmade knives were perfect out of the box.
Spyderco PM2 Tanto, really liking the beefier blade. They might be a little overpriced but I don't regret it at all.
