EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Just received this yesterday, a grail of sorts, often called the Chris Reeve Inkosi/Umnumzaan of Europe, the Klotzli Swiss Border Guard. A manual button lock running on PB washers. At little stiff straight out of the box (just like a Chris Reeve), but after cleaning and working it for the better part of yesterday this thing is already developing a glassy smooth feel. Very fidget friendly, I can easily thumb flick, middle finger flick, and button lock flip open/close. The blade steel is Bohler N690, which may not excite the steel aficionados, but is still in wide use and very popular in Europe. I've been using a Boker N690 fixed blade for the last six years and it is a very capable steel. The Swiss Border Guard did kitchen duty last night and was the only knife I used to prepare a chicken and sausage gumbo dinner. Loving it so far.

PS the photos belie the beautiful polished stonewashed blade finish which is similar to the Spyderco Swayback.

I've been very tempted by that Klotzli ever since @Barman1 started flashing pics and his favorable impressions of the SBG all over this thread. How's the feel in hand? The back part of the grip concerns me as it seems a bit narrow and I can't quite close the last two fingers on either hand due to arthritis and various "industrial accidents", although handles with similar downturns do nestle into my old mitts well.

That's a very attractive knife that has a look that's right in my sweet spot. I've been very pleased with the N690C in my Wilson Combat/Fox ELC and do find it a most capable steel. Congrats on picking that one up!

Hi ChazzyP - Overall the grip fits something like a Spyderco Caly 3.5, but better because it's longer and thicker. I measure 0.46" thick. That's the best I can describe other than including the two photos below. I have a medium sized hand by Mechanix Glove standards.
