Another wonderful morning, started off at 41 degrees, perfect for a nice walk with my dog.

Got her a year ago today from a animal rescue, the first three years of her life were in a cage. Mom for a puppy mill so she doesn't know how to play but loves to get out and explore.
That sure is a good looking dog! Give it a good scratch from me. I got out for a evening motorcycle ride and had the pair with me. I'm loving this 705 thank you so much for the trade!

Swapped out my Spyderco Native Chief for my Spyderco Tropen.

The Tropen is one of my favorites because it checks all of the boxes for me: 1) 4" blade, 2) SD design 3) flipper, 4) compression lock, 5) wave type opener and 6) polished/contoured black G10 scales. No other knife has such features.

However, the Tropen is a knife that many love to hate because of the purported design "flaw" that leaves small part of the blade exposed in the area just behind the compression lock release bar when the knife is closed.

There's no reason to put your finger there when the knife is closed and I've never cut myself on it despite handling/carrying the knife many, many times. So, you get no such complaint from me.

Going back to my Maxemet Para 3 for the foreseeable future. When I first got this knife I said it for over 100 days in a row. I decided to give my other knives a chance and still really love my Kizer T1 but this knife just has so much character and I enjoy using and carrying it.

I got my new stockman sharpened up and will be giving this pattern a try. I also got the cold steel lucky one for $40 and had to give it a try to see if I would enjoy a modern traditional.

I’m jealous my friend ! I got all ready for a ride Saturday since I had not rode my bike since right before winter and it was the first 65 degree day and sunny. Got all my gear on was feelings a good ride on the way and rolled her out of the garage after disconnecting my battery tender and bam 2 half cranks and the battery was dead. I was like WTF the battery tender had a solid green light which means I should of been good to go. I also always monitor it to make sure the green light was on. So anyway figure the battery let go after 4 years and maybe the battery tender was charging one less cell thinking everything was good . So head off to my local motorcycle toy store and picked up a $140 battery best I could get and got home and for shits and giggles I thought I’d try and fire up my bike before the new battery install and she fires up with only a half of crank ready rip lol sounding so fricken good. Long story short I yanked the battery anyway because now I can’t trust it and put the new one in so I’m ready for the next nice day. Almost went for a ride after the install but decided maybe it was a warning not to ride this day so I covered her back up and ready to fight/Ride another day. So for now I can just reminisce my track days on my other bikes to get my fix :)

I had the same thing happen with a battery when I had my RZR battery tender showed it green but wouldn't start. I had a kawasaki prairie ATV the battery Lasted 9 years and never used a battery tender. Seems like now I'm only getting 2 to 3 years out of em. Maybe the tender shortens the life??
I gave up on the expensive ones from the dealership and I found a place online that sells batteries for around 35 bucks. I have one that's 3 years old and still cranking..
