None of that needed for a kayak I just head to creeks and rivers when boat dude bros get out there LOL! I don’t even attempt to share the water with some of those clowns.

We are going to be mooring the new boat south of the dam. I wish I had the strength and the endurance for kayaking. Getting there.

Nina Klotzli identified the thread size and the heads as "Spline" without specifying a bit size. I doubt that they're Torx Align which are designed for snug fit in deeply recessed screws as the SBG clip screw heads are tiny and shallow. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

might just be a T1,T2,T3 or T4?
