Thanks for continuing to think about my issue, though it's really more of an obsession and annoyance than a practical matter as I have no real reason, at this point anyway, to remove the clip.

It's definitely not a Torx as T5 is sloppy and T6 doesn't fit. Torx Plus 5IP is a less sloppy, but still wrong fit, and 6IP doesn't go. Nina Klotzli wrote me, "I didnt know the Bristol head, but from what I can see on the internet, this is not the correct head. It really is a «Spline» with a 1/72 thread." It's hard to see, even under magnification, but it rather does look like a Bristol. I could pull a screw and send it to @tiguy7 , as he's generously offered to check it for me, ask Barman1 Barman1 to send me a pair of 1/72 T6 headed screws, as he's generously offered to do, buy a set of Bristol Bits to check myself, or just let it go, as I'll probably never need to know, though that's not in my nature. :confused: Such First World problems.... :rolleyes:
