EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Glad to hear you're doing well, Z Zeroedin , and that one of us is enjoying the relative cakewalk of hip replacement. I was forewarned that this knee I had done would be considerably more difficult to navigate post-op, but I was still really surprised at how grueling the recovery and rehab is. Nevertheless, things are progressing well and my PT and VNA people tell me I'm well ahead of the curve, so I'm keeping at it. 😬

With all this medical talk, at least one turn for the good Doctor is called for, so she's with me today and pictured here in some shots from last year.

Beautiful shots, ChazzyP ChazzyP !

And yeah, knee replacements are indeed grueling and the PT just sucks. Heck, I remember days when simply knowing the therapist was on the way to our house would nearly bring me to tears. Always thought of myself as the quintessential “tough guy”. The knee replacement humbled me quite a bit, lol.

Anyway, it’s great to hear that you’re ahead of the curve and pushing it. Every day things get a bit easier, and every day puts you a few degrees closer to the finish line….which I suspect you’ll be reaching in no time.

I’ve had 16 knee surgeries since 1978.

2 - Torn ACL’s
1 - Torn ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL, and thigh muscle tear (complete dislocation)
1 - Patella Replacement
2 - Torn MCL’s
1 - Knee Replacement
1 - Hardware Removal
8 - Scopes To Repair Torn Meniscus & Cartilage

My replacement is worn out (been in since 2001) my OS wants to do a robot assisted revision replacement.

There comes a time when you’re tired of getting on the table, enduring therapy and you just let it go. When it goes, and it will, I’ll get it fixed then.

Really like that jigged endura! Maybe one day ill add one to the collection. Very nice!

Since were talking about enduras, Friday was the start of 7 days of Enduras carried in solidarity with a buddy. My week started with an s30v/CF scaled version posted here yesterday. Today its a ZDP which was acquired with a .012” BTE regrind that started out life as a saber grind, and is quite the slicer.
I reground a ZDP Saber Endura, but it looks a little different than yours.

My Para 3 MXG clip just arrived so it’s time to put it on the murdered out Para 3 cruwear knife center exclusive. I love the Black smooth g10 and that even the liner is all blacked out. To keep the theme going I’m going to try my hardest not to put a leather lanyard on this one until I can find some black leather.
