Just wrapping up some garage work to get to the end of a long-ass Monday. The Viper Lille has been picking up some of my slack today.
Just a quick update: Wednesday will be three weeks since my hip replacement. One week out I was already in less pain than I’d been in for the past 4-5 years. At the two-week mark I ditched the cane all together and I’m now moving and feeling better than I have in years.
I wish I’d had the balls to get this done 10 years ago. But, as my brother would say….my balls have been sitting in a box on the mantle for the past 22 years….right where my wife placed them after the honeymoon. Lol.
Oh, and a word to the wise: don’t actually pitch the cane. It still comes in handy when I’m looking for sympathy, don’t feel like carrying something or simply don’t want to go somewhere. It also works wonders at the supermarket when I want another register to open before the old guy leaning on the cane topples over. Not gonna lie; once ya’ get the “Oye, I’m in agony over here” facial expression down…..it’s a pretty easy sell. Folks practically beg ya’ to take their place in line.
I kid. Tongue in cheek stuff here, please don’t anyone get offended.
Lazy, taken under poor lighting conditions late-evening knife pic to follow. Cut me some slack though. Taking a proper knife photo is tough when you’re balancing all your weight on a cane and trying desperately not to topple over.
Bahahaha
