It was drop shut. However, I took it apart to clean and relube it and tightened the pivot down a bit more than it was previously. I've found the detent on all SHFs (I've had 6) to be a bit light, and the blade would shake out fairly easily. I'm trading drop shut for snappier opening and a bit more safety. It will continue to smooth out at it's current tightness.

Hmmm, that would explain it then. Though, I'll say, mine is droppy with the detent still doing its job. These oil infused bronze washers are the business!

I expect this one to break in again at the increased pivot tightness.

I was figuring this was gonna be a Themeless Thursday--oxymoron alert here --but inasmuch as I'm continuing with back-to-back related carries for the third time in the last six days, I guess this is actually a Three-peat Thursday, doubling up after yesterday's StarTac on Wilson Wednesday with my Starbenza 25 this time around. This was absolutely the smoothest, freest CRK I've encountered out of the box and straight off the Exchange, and went immediately from being the seller's safe queen to becoming another work user for me.

This is also Day Two of post-surgical fresh knife pics, as I gain more confidence roogalating around the yard.
