EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I was posting in a thread about CTS-XHP this morning and got out my Les George/Wilson Combat Eagle as it's one of at least two I have in that steel. Of course it's always a good choice for Wilson Wednesday and one that's been a favorite work knife over the six years that I've owned it.

Ahhhh man, if I'd known, I'd have brought mine in today. 🤪

Although the actual beekeeping part is intimidating, processing the combs and separating the wax from the combs and then the honey from the combs is fun IMO.

Before they moved to Idaho, my cousin in law invited me out to a friends house over labor day weekends to hang out on the property in Wisconsin and help with the honey processing. To be honest, I was happy the beekeeper suits they had were too small for me (I'm 6'4") but the rest was very interesting, and everyone who participated got to take home honey. Cranking the centrifuge is hard work, but fun as well. We had like 20 people helping.

I got to go a second year, though my right middle finger was in splint stitched together from a knife incident. Best part of that trip was chasing chickens (no coop, just wild running around the 30 acres he had) and trying to catch a chicken one handed. I almost succeeded. Which was bonus points from my dad, who had a job when he was young capturing chickens to test them for malaria.

We should do a day sometime--wonder if there are any other regulars here with WCLG Eagles to join in. Lots of good occasions for carry, too, like Ti & Teflon Tuesday, obviously Wilson Wednesday, Fluted Flipper Friday, Slim Sat or Sun.

I've reprofiled mine with a polished edge at close to 15DPS and despite not being particularly thin BTE it's still one helluva cutter/slicer with its 1/8" CTS-XHP blade stock. It really is a unique knife as it's so substantial and hand-fillingly broad...

... while being so pocket-friendly slim.
