Actually, I meant the 3.75-inch version. The choil appears to reduce the cutting edge to 3.25 inches. Since the knife is designed with a finger guard close enough to what could be cutting edge to not significantly impede "control for fine cuts," and since the front edge of the handle at the blade does not appear to be in a position to impede cuts if the edge came back to the finger guard, I remain disappointed that the big-ol' chip in the blade (ah, finger choil) is there. Seems like more cutting edge would be useful, especially since the big choil would hang up on the kinds of things I usually cut when I'm holding the knife by the handle ... you know, like knives are supposed to be held :)

Nonetheless, it otherwise looks like a fine knife. Maybe one day I'll buy one just because I think it's still pretty darned cool, I'm intrigued by CIVI's version of Damascus, and your sample looks smashing with that steel and rubbed copper. Nice!
 
Friend gifted this little jewel. No name on blade or box. 3 inch D2 steel (real) blade, flips like a dream, 100 % lockup, light weight, black G10 scales. Only mark on blade - "D2" on flipper, maker unknown ,I suppose Chinese. Came arm hair shaving sharp.



Going into my rotation as companion to my SAK Tinker.
