I've been absent for a couple days here as I'm still crazy busy with both my club and league business and getting the roof buttoned up temporarily as we head into the holiday week with my buddy heading off-Cape to visit relatives. I'll still have b-ball admin and uni's to deal with over the break, but there'll only be five practices over two days with the kids off for five days over Thanksgiving and I'm only doing one.
I did the same thing again two days running a couple days back, but with a different knife, and, had I known and written yesterday what I know now, it coulda been Tolk Today & Tomorrow. I also didn't get any fresh pics again and the files don't go back very far on my newest, but I don't think I've used these here before...
...also got some serious catching up to do again as this thread builds awful quickly.
I did the same thing again two days running a couple days back, but with a different knife, and, had I known and written yesterday what I know now, it coulda been Tolk Today & Tomorrow. Switched it up a bit and went with this small 31 today, which for some reason I don’t tend to carry very often.
A brief aside: my wife caught me taking these pics in the front yard just before dinner. Watches are another one of my hobbies, and the cool thing about taking photos for the “daily thread” over in the watch forums is that 99% of the time the watch is strapped to your wrist. Obviously, that’s not the case with knives…..so when someone thinks they’re being cute by sneaking up behind you while you’re photographing a knife and shouting “Busted!!” in your ear, it helps if you’re not the “jumpy” type.
Apparently….I’m the jumpy type, and according to my wife…a bit of a screamer to boot. I think she may be embellishing a little on this point. I mean, I honestly don’t recall it being an actual scream. I think if anything……it was more of a fight-ready battle yell.
One thing we can both agree on, however, is that it wasn’t my finest moment. Actually, I am proud of the fact that I held on to the knife. I’m also happy that my warrior reflexes aren’t what they once were….you know, ‘cause back in the day I would’ve dropped her in a heartbeat.
Ugh. Ten bucks says she tells this one at Thanksgiving dinner. Heck, the way she was laughing……I may never hear the end of it.
