EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

: my wife caught me taking these pics in the front yard just before dinner. Watches are another one of my hobbies, and the cool thing about taking photos for the “daily thread” over in the watch forums is that 99% of the time the watch is strapped to your wrist. Obviously, that’s not the case with knives…..so when someone thinks they’re being cute by sneaking up behind you while you’re photographing a knife and shouting “Busted!!” in your ear, it helps if you’re not the “jumpy” type.

Apparently….I’m the jumpy type, and according to my wife…a bit of a screamer to boot. I think she may be embellishing a little on this point. I mean, I honestly don’t recall it being an actual scream. I think if anything……it was more of a fight-ready battle yell.

One thing we can both agree on, however, is that it wasn’t my finest moment. Actually, I am proud of the fact that I held on to the knife. I’m also happy that my warrior reflexes aren’t what they once were….you know, ‘cause back in the day I would’ve dropped her in a heartbeat.

Ugh. Ten bucks says she tells this one at Thanksgiving dinner. Heck, the way she was laughing……I may never hear the end of it.

this spyderco and benchmade combination is so cool, really love it

BTW, what's the model name of the spyderco one please - is it dragonfly? if the scale is customized, what's the general model name?
Really love the mini-serrated knife. Want to have one as backup for outdoor activities.
Thanks!

Thanks!

Yea, that is the Dragonfly. This one is a blade swap with the Pakkawood exclusive from KnifeCenter. You nailed it too, that's exactly what I do. I've found the fully serrated Dragonfly to be a great way to add the utility of the Spyderedge to my carry while still carrying a plain edge as my primary folder. It goes virtually unnoticed clipped in the corner of my back pocket until needed. I carry it pretty much all of the time, so much so that I've taken to swapping the blades from the SE model into other versions of the Dragonfly for variety.

I like any 801 that shows up, but I'm always extra pleased to see that one of yours, brother--really handsome knife! I've got two 801's and would probably jump on a model like yours for a third if I stumbled across one on the Exchange.

BTW, y'all can see how far I am behind from being so busy, but I think there's some days I'm caught up on between this quoted post and today--at least I hope so.
