EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Just tore my truck apart for the third time…

Guess what worked it’s way underneath the Weathertechs in the back of the REAR seat?

It’s a Christmas Freaking Miracle!!!

I couldn’t be more stoked!

Thanks for all the condolences and well wishing everyone.

Merry Christmas!

Right on!!!! I’m stoked for you! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

We had a great day here with our two on-Cape sons and K's live-in GF joining the two of us here. We ate way too rich and way too much before opening gifts then followed up with our traditional family Christmas movie--Die Hard. Hope y'all had as nice a day as us. 🎄

J and I have one throw we each particularly like to use winter evenings sitting in our living room. I was opening my gift from her, saw the corner of the throw inside, and she read my expression right away. "You got me one too, right?" Yup--we do kinda think alike after all these years.

Anyway, I wanted something sharp, pointy and light to help open gifts today, but the RDD makes for a pretty ironic carry on this most famous of birthdays.

Man...I love the lines on those SO much, I just wish they did a Ti slab version😪

The original limited edition of the RDD was 100 pieces in all Ti. That was the knife I fell in love with but always seemed out of reach for me

I was lucky that a friend from the Bears' Den knew how much I admired the RDD and offered me his at a generously affordable price when he purged a large number of his collectible knives. The first CF version--like mine--comprised 200 pieces at a lesser, though not inconsiderable, price when it was released. The original all-Ti knives still command the highest prices.

I too love the lines of the knife as well as how a 95mm blade fits into such a compact and stupidly light package. While I really admire the all-Ti version, I'm not unhappy at all with mine which features Shiro's finely detailed, handsome, and excellent in hand Silk Milling on both its CF and Ti sides.
