k up anymore? Did it get pushed over to favor one side?Sad day…dropped my Zaan from the top of a 8 foot ladder. Was digging a splinter out of my palm ( nothing beats a Tanto for splinter removal) and missing the ladder when I went to sit it down! Now I really need to find a spare as this one is headed back to the mothership for a new thumbstud.View attachment 1790599View attachment 1790601View attachment 1790602

HELP!!!
Really good job…if you said I just picked this up at xyzzy dealer, I would totally believe youThanks brother! I've done something similar a few times on some traditionals, but this was the first time giving it a shot on a modern folder. The vision I had in mind for this knife (patina/fade dye job/bronzed hardware) was really what drove me to the purchase (well, that and the fact that I wanted to give K390 a try). I'm really quite pleased with it and have been carrying it much more than I ever expected to. It's a great steel, the subtle color fade from the dye job adds an interesting look to an otherwise plain knife, and I love the colors that the patina picks up in certain lights. I was even able to get some blues coming through when I flamed the clip and screws (though it doesn't always come through in the pics). I'm surprised at how much enjoyment I can get out of a stupid plastic knife. Gotta love Spyderco
