EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I carried another small Kizer today. Here is my Mini Begleiter in red Micarta as I was getting ready for a midnight stroll.

Thanks brother! I've done something similar a few times on some traditionals, but this was the first time giving it a shot on a modern folder. The vision I had in mind for this knife (patina/fade dye job/bronzed hardware) was really what drove me to the purchase (well, that and the fact that I wanted to give K390 a try ;)). I'm really quite pleased with it and have been carrying it much more than I ever expected to. It's a great steel, the subtle color fade from the dye job adds an interesting look to an otherwise plain knife, and I love the colors that the patina picks up in certain lights. I was even able to get some blues coming through when I flamed the clip and screws (though it doesn't always come through in the pics). I'm surprised at how much enjoyment I can get out of a stupid plastic knife. Gotta love Spyderco .

That is such a cool and completely unique looking knife.

I’ve played around a little with patinas, but all of it ended up looking like My Little Pony goes Steam-Punk. When I see it done well, like yours is, it makes me smile and want to try again. Then I remember the “custom” paint job I gave my 1974 Mercury Comet back in 84 and realize I should simply admire the work of adults.

Thank you very much for the additional pictures.
