EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Funny that I don't carry my Sages much. I have all of their various iterations, save the two BHQ mint-green M4 LW versions, but today had the black FRN 5 in my T-shirt pocket heading over to the home gym in b-ball shorts. I like how this one's textured scales help keep the knife from slipping out of hand while pinching the compression lock release.

After a lot of time with both my other Hinderers, this knife is surprisingly delicate feeling, though clearly it's as durable as the others (my XM-18 and PX). It's a quality knife, but is obviously much better suited for a light EDC role. For a desk driver like me, it's pretty great, and this one came REALLY sharp. With the bearings installed, it drops shut. Cool, until I wasn't looking, and I tabbed over the lock, and it dropped shut on the side of my thumb. A minor cut, but hey, guess it's mine for sure. I need to get a picture of the three together so folks can see how slim this thing really is.

About the only critique I have at the moment is that I wish a deep-carry clip option were available, because this knife basically disappears weight-wise in a pocket.

Awesome! I think the knife is underrated, as you don’t hear much about them in the sea of XM fans. MXG gear has deep carry clips for hinderers that will fit. I’ve had them before. I think they do plain, blue, bronze, and black. I might pick up a bronze for my green Firetac.

That's true, and I expect because it's not something that feels like it should be able to pry open a car door. Also, just checked, and MXG Gear might indeed be the way to go! DLT has a chart on their site (iirc) which speaks to which parts overlap between models and the tab and clip are about it for the Firetac. Everything else like the screws, pivot and so on fit only the Firetac. I'm going to need to check out one of those MXG clips. The clips they make for Spyderco are great.
