Day 13 with the Arius (I missed taking a picture yesterday), and time to audition some shorter flashlights for summer weather. Today's contender is the Lumintop FW1A, and I'd forgotten what a great light this is. 
I'd more or less stopped using my Anduril lights because the programming is too much for me to remember, but I stumbled across a post about setting the memory level and felt like a dummy for not noticing that sooner. Now I can set my memorized mode to something that won't set my pants on fire if it comes on accidentally (just below the level where regulation turns off), skip the annoying step of locking and unlocking the light when I want to use it, ignore the rest of the programmable functions, and just enjoy the darned thing.

While finishing the staining and assembly of the new changing table my new 3V Demko Ad20.5 arrived!
First impressions are good. The action is pretty amazing but different. It deploys differently from an axis lock. The knife is crazy thin but feels really good in my hands. The blade did come with some dark patina on it from the factory. This doesn't bother be but I was expecting to do that myself. I have already used it to break down some boxes and for a bit of food prep and it does cut better than I was expecting. The centering is slightly off but I think it can be adjusted.
Also while my daughter was napping and I was waiting for the stain to dry I decided to see if I could do anything to my Bugout to make it more enjoyable for me. I took it apart and polished the washers. Put it back together and it is like a new knife. The action is free but the wobble is gone. Centering is good and it even sounds different. I guess it's a good thing I couldn't sell it.....
