EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I'm not the greatest at sharpening, either. I want to eventually take a crack at a guided system.

Side note, I am a huge fan of Rough Rider knives. I hope their quality and fit and finish has not diminished. They may not always come very sharp, as you experienced, but they are usually great inexpensive knives with decent walk and talk.
The other RRs I've owned have been an excellent value. This one was an aberration, at least in my experience -- not just dull, but sharpened so poorly and unevenly that fixing it would leave the main blade's tip proud. Its replacement was great. :)

I may not be climbing mountains or doing mission impossible style electrical work but here is a Maxamet blade in the Carolina summer (read 96 F and humid as heck), cutting zip ties and being around water (I was putting together a water table for my daughter). If that doesn't make the hairs stand up on your neck I don't know what will 🤣

I know people say you have to baby this steel but it's really one of my favorite for general use.

Hottest day of the year here on Cape, with temps in the mid-90's and dew-point in the 70's. We took our morning laps around the property right after coffee and I carried the smaller of this pair in my t-shirt pocket on Seven-Hundred Saturday. The sadly discontinued BMK 705 and 710 were literally made for each other and are a great pairing.

In the afternoon I was working in the basement sheetmetal shop when the power went out and I was left standing in the blackness, fortunately having just finished soldering the first half of the piece I was working on. I thought the whole Cape might be down with all the AC's running everywhere having blown the grid, but it turned out to be very local with only a little over 100 users affected and we were back up and running in an hour and a half.

I went back down and finished up this evening and had both knives along with me while I fitted and soldered the wall flange on the coated copper beam cover I was making.
