EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

A wonderful Sunday morning, BF !

Thanks for fixing the picture link issue, Spark Spark , I almost gave up there for a moment.

I'm pretty sure you can replace the bulb with a LED. I think Maglite sells the kits? I could be wrong.

Friends don't let friends use bulbs. This is the era of the LED. 🍻
I appreciate you for specifying that my man, I was going in for new ones today, I don't know much about flashlights yet, checked, and noted they do indeed have LED replacements for the cheap, going for those!

It's Sunday, Time To Get The Toe Nail Clippers Out___ 🤣 😍

I NEEEEED
THE RED TO THE LEFT AND THE CREAM.
The wooden one between those two as well, just to be safe. Stunning.

Boy, it doesn't even have to be that style of knife, though I do absolutely love the large wharncliffe, like a cooler and more useful cotton sampler. what I really need is that red GEC micarta (Or, Northfield Union in this case? I know they make under a few names.). It seems impossible to find, under either name. I just want that beautiful deep burgundy micarta...

So my broski, if I remember correctly, their LED replacements aren't super bright. However, you now have something  much more shock resistant.

When you have the $$, Streamlight makes awesome, bright, tough pocket flash lights for $35 to $45 dollars. They have some handhelds that are very bright and very tough for about the same amount, that I use as rifle lights.

Good food for thought! I could try one of each, because man, that Maglite is huge. I do want something with a lot of capacity, and while my little J5 has served me quite well, illuminated my friends and I for two nights on a camping trip after being used lightly for a couple months (just uses a single AA battery too, I think), there is room for upgrade.

Thanks for giving me an American rec, too! I think those Olights look cool and all, but prefer USA made. :)
I am listening to this album right now:

Big thanks for fixing the problem! It is so nice to be back in business.
And you are absolutely awesome for doing so, listening to old old school Vital Remains, before Glen Benton even (not that I don't like Dechristianize and onward, I do).
Excellent post, great album, great knives :)

I was planning on a split day's carry again this morning as I'd decided on walking despite the heat and starting a bit too late, and thought I'd pair my ZT 0450 and 0452 for a Sinkevich Sunday carry. I've added an aftermarket CF scale to the smaller knife to make for a match between the two, but after handling the larger one ahead of time, I decided against the pair as I've been finding the 0452 rather uncomfortable to disengage, getting stuck between its very stiff lock bar and the detent ball hanging up against the edge of the lock ramp when the flipper tab hits my thumbnail.

Instead, I split the size difference between the two and carried just one knife that lives in the same drawer and also has one CF slab, making this a Sprocket Sunday. With a 3.5" blade and weighing in at a mere 3.5 oz, the Gerry McGinnis designed MBK knife is still easy enough to carry in a t-shirt pocket on a hot and sweaty day.

American? Maybe the company, but the products are made in Taiwan, I believe. I have no problem with that, their quality is very good and consistent. I have had multples of both flashlights I recommend to you, and they have always worked well. The little pocket ones have gone through the washer and dryer multiple times by mistake.

I even set a skid of cardboard down on one in my old warehouse and drug it around with my forklift, unknown to me. It was no longer a perfect cylinder, and I could not screw off the top to replace the battery, but the damn thing still worked.
