The new GiantMouse ACE Biblio in natural micarta looks great - and even better after treatment with a bit of mineral oil!

Hello, Just a question. What does applying mineral oil to the micarta do? I have several knives with micarta scales but have never heard of doing this? Thanks

Another warm day. Might as well have a picnic. And shoot stuff. Still enjoying the 520 Presidio.

Got home to find a shipment of hot sauce in the mailbox. I guess they deliver on Sunday now. I had a spoonful of the "Foo Foo Mama Choo" and it's right peppy. The epic 7of8 primo is supposed to be a real burner. The regular heat version of it is pretty dern hot already.

I've enjoyed looking at everyone's pics. Keep them coming and let's hope we get a good game tonight!

Been carrying this for the last few days. Love how slim and light this is for a pretty large (3.75 inch) blade. Unlike the Emerson wave the Spyderco Endura wave opens bottles like a champ. It’s also got a solid butt for whacking things. (I use it for crushing up those big pink salt rocks into finer grains sometimes and a solid butt vs standoffs seems to make a big difference)

They've tried to get some informal IDPA/USPSA type competitions going but I don't think there is enough interest. I think a lot of people come out, shoot a box or two and that's enough for them. My eyes wouldn't be good enough for it these days.

Been busy lately and I've had a lot on my mind too, but with the first snowfall of the season today, it kind of forced me to stop and slow down a little and gather my thoughts.

I took a couple years off from uspsa due to injuries(tore quad tendon off knees and had to have them reattached so couldnt run)-was a B class shooter in limited division--plan on trying to get back into it this spring slowly so I dont tweak something again.
