Haha , yes , I think age is definitely a factor here. I don’t mind a plastic-type handle here and there but BM seems to wanna use the stuff on most of their knives now. I still like the Griptilian but aside from that , I’m all set with BM for the time being. Anyway , keep and enjoy your older BM treasures. And never let them go.Thanks, man, and no kidding re the older BMK models vs what's currently available. I've always liked the older, semi-industrial vibe that earlier Benchmades gave off with their G10 scales over SS liners on knives like the 710, AFCK, Stryker, and others. They did CF better than anybody too as evidenced by the 908BK-1501 in the post you quoted and my 940-1/943 Franken. I know a lot of members here really love their Bugouts, but I haven't seen anything BMK's put out for quite some time that really tickled my fancy save for some of the exclusive and special edition Grips with open backs and non-Noryl handles. Maybe we're just turning into old they don't make 'em like they used to curmudgeons.![]()
Imo the best knife ZT made
Y'all won't get any disagreement outa me. I've got two 801's and find them to be the smoothest, easiest to both flip and disengage of all the ZTs I've had. The detent on most I've owned has been way too stiff, but the Rexford design is super comfortable in both directions. Changing the clip on my BW version has made a big difference to me appearance-wise as well, as the ZT's short, black-painted with white logo clips just seem so cheesy to me. I've added MXG long satin split clips to my other two ZT's--0452CF and 0450(CF added)--and that's made me even happier that I've kept that pair.Pretty much in agreement here.
Thanks Brother it’s a really nice knife and excited to carry it and put it to useAwesome![]()
Nice! I have the FFG S30V Curly Birch version. Definitely a solid knife.. and very reasonably priced for the construction & materials too, imo.I've had this Enzo Birk 75 for seven years now, and still think it's an awesome design.
It was used to dig mesquite thorns outta my boots after an extensive chainsaw session.
